What To Expect…

We understand that visiting a new church can be a little awkward and intimidating. You may have questions, such as: …is there a place for my kids? …what is the worship like? …what types of small groups and ministry opportunities are there? …what do others where at RFBC? …what is expected of me when I visit? We want to answer the basics for you in this section.

Dress…

There is no dress code at Rogersville First Baptist (RFBC)! We believe God looks at the heart. You will see people in everything from shorts to a suit, and almost everything in between. Of course, we encourage modesty, but we welcome you as you are. You are our guests and we want you to feel right at home.

Worship…

Worship at RFBC is all about Jesus, from the songs to the sermons, and we desire that our worship reflects that. We want Jesus Christ to be the center of all that we do and all that we are about. Our music style is traditional and blended, but also includes modern songs and anthems as well. The messages are biblically centered and expositional (verse-by-verse).  We seek to honor Christ in all that we do. Our desire is to help you become all God intends you to be as a fully devoted disciple.

Children and Students…

We have Sunday School and groups for every age group. Whether your child is an infant or in high school–or somewhere in between–we have a safe, secure, and friendly place for them to connect with others and grow in their faith. We offer classes for children and students on Sunday Mornings, during the Sunday school hour, Sunday evening activities, and mid-week events through our Student Ministry. During the Sunday morning worship service, we believe that it is important for families to be together in worship and submission to the Word of God.

Opportunities To Serve…

We believe that service is the natural progression of faith. If you are looking for a place to serve, look no further! We have a number of areas and ministries in which you can serve. Students engage in a variety of activities and service opportunities throughout the year: service projects, VBS, and Crossing Ministries Summer Camps. There are WMU Circles for ladies, and an active Baptist Men’s Ministry which meets the second Saturday of each month. We also have an active Senior Adult ministry, called “Keenagers.” Other service opportunities include Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief (TDR) throughout our state and nation, Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Ministry, and a host of others. Simply put – we want you to serve!

The main message here is: “You are welcome at RFBC!” If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to give us a call. We would love to hear from you and would be honored to have you join us as we worship Christ together.
